Our Deacons

Janet Cox

Janet is our Connect Groups Deacon with special responsibilities for connect groups and health and safety.  She is described by others as “faithful” and “wise”.

Janet became a Christian at our very own Russell Park Baptist Church Sunday School when she was a child (not so long ago!) 

Molly Dawson

Molly is Deacon for Social Care and is described by others as ”efficient”, “eager to serve” and “organised”.

She hates hypocrisy, prejudice and injustice.  But loves spending time with Christian world wide.

The most amazing thing she has ever seen is God intervening in a crisis, as an angel, to rescue her.

Martin is our Treasurer

Mick and Helen Hall

Helen is Deacon for Publicity

Mick and Helen have 2 teenage sons and came to Bedford in the mid-nineties.  Those of us who know her will find it unsurprising that she thought long and hard about her faith before eventually being challenged by Mick to get off the fence and make a committment to Jesus.  She loves the feeling of getting into bed after a long hard day of work and relishes a challenge.  The most memorable one is when she was challenged by a local Vicar to focus her life on giving rather than taking.

Rob is Deacon for Outreach

Brian and Debbie Newnham

Brian is Deacon for Service Care and became a Christian in 1979 when he read John 3:16.  He is married to Debbie and has a son Ricky.

His greatest achievement is setting up his own business.
