As a church we believe in four key areas which define our identity, vision and values:
Living Abundantly by God's Word and Spirit
Learning From And Discipling One Another
Loving and Caring for One Another
Serving the Community Near and Far
At Russell Park Baptist Church we have a vision to be a church made up of genuine disciples of Jesus Christ. We are aiming to be a church where discipleship and maturity are the norm, not the exception.
This vision includes being a community that is more about transforming lives than filling pews. Where together we learn to mature and grow up in the faith, and where we can disciple, teach and train one another for the extension of God’s Kingdom and the glory of God.
This vision begins with Jesus Christ’s Great Commission to His Church to, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20
We believe that if we are going to be a church made up of those who are truly following Christ then we are going to need each other. We need to be a people who, as John Wesley said are, “watching over one another in love”.

This means being a people willing to use their individual passions, skills, gifts and personality to enable others to flourish. To be a people with the passion and the desire to be disciples and not just converts.
