As a church we believe in four key areas which define our identity, vision and values:

At Russell Park Baptist Church we have a vision to be a people that love as Jesus loved.  For Christ once said, “As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35
 
When we look at Christ’s example we see that His love moved way beyond just a feeling or a desire but was more to do with giving, sacrifice and the laying down of one’s life for others.

And so the vision is to be a community where our love for one another is expressed in actions.  We want to be known as a place where, amongst other things, the lost are found, the lonely find friends, the hurting are comforted and the sick are cared for.

By loving each other in practical ways we manifest that we have Heavenly DNA – we prove that we are part of God’s family.

“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.  If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?  Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.” 1 John 3:16-18
